Russia can produce maximum of 1,000 tanks per year - military expert Salamakha
Military expert Mykola Salamakha says that Russia can produce no more than 1,000 units of military equipment in a year to deploy in the war against Ukraine
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Russia has several ways to restore military armored vehicles that were destroyed or damaged in Ukraine. They can remove from storage the equipment they have. In particular, T-54, T-50, T-62M, T-80B and T-72B tanks. However, these vehicles have been in storage for more than 30 years and need to be restored," explained Salamakha.
The expert emphasized that Russia loses much more equipment per year than it can deploy to the front line.
"Russians can restore their outdated military equipment at repair plants. At these plants, they can restore no more than 800 pieces of equipment per year. There are 4 such plants in Russia. There are also several other plants, but they specialize in the creation of various special equipment. Therefore, the total number of prepared military equipment that Russia can use against Ukraine is no more than 1,000 units in one year. They lose a lot more equipment in a year than they can deploy to the front line," he added.
