Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles: there are hits and injured

On the morning of February 10, the Russian army is attacking Ukraine with missiles: explosions and air defense operation have been reported in several regions. Seven people are injured in the Kharkiv district

Local authorities and the media reported the information.

Lviv regions

The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that nine enemy missiles were shot down over the Lviv region, but there were hits as a result of the attack:

“The enemy hit a critical energy infrastructure facility. A fire has started. All services are working at the site. Experts are assessing the extent of the damage. Because of this, as well as the situation in other regions, there may be power outages in the Lviv region,” he said.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, another rocket fell near a sanatorium in the Lviv district, damaging the windows of the building.

In Zolochiv district, near the village of Kizliv, a Russian missile fell near a bus stop without exploding.

Emergency workers are currently working to neutralize it. According to preliminary information, no people have been killed or injured.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, traffic has been blocked. Policemen are directing cars moving from Kyiv through the towns of Busk and Krasne.

Vehicles going in the direction of the capital are being directed through the village of Velykosilky to the Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska highway.

Earlier, Maksym Kozytskyi and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi informed about air defense operation in the region. They also informed about possible power outages.

Ivano-Frankivsk region

Russian missiles hit a power facility in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

“Unfortunately, during an air raid alert that lasted more than three hours, the occupying forces again launched missile attacks on a power facility in our region,” the head of the Regional Military Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk wrote on Telegram. 

According to preliminary information, no one was injured or killed. But all relevant services responded promptly.

Khmelnytskyi region

According to preliminary information, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 1 Russian cruise missile and 1 Shahed drone in Khmelnytskyi region. However, there was a hit to a critical infrastructure facility of the Khmelnytskyi community, said Serhiy Hamaliy, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.

The fire has been extinguished, there are no casualties. Material damage is being assessed. 

Earlier, Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn confirmed the explosion in the city. "An explosion in Khmelnytskyi. Take care of yourselves. More details later. There may be outages in power and other utilities."

Hamaliy also wrote about power outages. "Part of the city has no power supply. Water supply may also be disrupted."

Kharkiv

The number of wounded in Kharkiv as a result of a Russian missile strike has increased to 8.

"According to the updated information of the Regional Emergency Medical Center, the number of victims has increased to 8 people. The injured have been hospitalized. Medics are providing them with all the necessary assistance," wrote Synyehubov.

Earlier he reported that 7 people were injured as a result of the strike, which occurred at about 10:30 a.m. in the Kharkiv district. Two of them are in serious condition.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, commented on the situation in the region during the missile attack on the United News national telethon.

"Kharkiv is still under enemy missile attack. Not long ago, another explosion occurred in the city. A power generating infrastructure was hit. The air raid alert is still triggered. Stay in shelters," he said.

Earlier, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed about an enemy attack on the city's critical infrastructure at about ten o'clock in the morning: he warned of possible interruptions in electricity and other utilities.

Kyiv city and the region

According to the Air Defense Forces, 10 missiles were shot down over Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. 

However, there is damage to the power grid. No one was injured. Power engineers are working to restore the networks.

The Kyiv City Military Administration clarified: “Air Defense Forces destroyed 10 enemy missiles in Kyiv's airspace. Rocket fragments damaged two cars, a house and power lines in the Holosiivskyi district. There is no information about the victims. The information is being updated!”

Prior to that, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense was operating in the region.

Dnipropetrovsk region

The head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported on the 9 Russian missiles shot down over the territory of the region as a result of a large-scale attack.

The head of the city administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, said that four enemy missiles were shot down in Kryvyi Rih district, including three within the city.

“There are fragments falling on the territory of the private sector. No major damage, no people were injured. Other missiles were diverted from the city,” he wrote on Telegram.

According to Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipro Regional Council, water utilities, heating companies, and hospitals that are subordinated to the regional council are working.

Emergency power outages continue in the region. Power engineers are currently restoring power in the town of Kamianske and part of Pavlohrad district.

“The situation with the critical infrastructure is under control. It is unclear what the Russians were counting on by launching another missile terror today. But what is clear is that the swamp (Russia - ed.) has been in agony for a long time,” he added.

Zaporizhzhia

Secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatoliy Kurtiev reported a second attack on the city: 2 hits were recorded in the morning of February 10.

Vinnytsia region

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morhunov confirmed the explosions in the city and informed about the air defense operation.

"Explosions were heard in Vinnytsia. Air defense was activated," he wrote.

Odesa region

Air defense forces shot down 13 cruise missiles over the Odesa region, said Maksym Marchenko, head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

"The enemy launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine from strategic aviation aircraft and sea-based cruise missile carriers. As always, the air defense units of Odesa region did an excellent job and shot down 12 missiles over the region! Thank you to the heroes defending the skies of Odesa region, you are the best!" he wrote on Telegram.

Earlier, Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, noted that there is an increased threat of a missile attack in the region. Local residents reported explosions in Poltava, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia regions. 

At 08:34 a.m., Vitaliy Kim warned of at least 20 missiles that could attack Ukraine.
