Russia attacks Ukraine with drones: windows and outbuildings damaged in Kyiv region, port infrastructure hit in Odesa region

Natalia Humeniuk, the spokesperson for OC South, stated on Espreso that Russian troops launched drones in waves from the Black Sea area. 

"They launched more than 20 drones," she emphasized.

Kyiv and the Kyiv region:

The air defense successfully destroyed all the Shahed drones that approached Kyiv during the night.

"The enemy attacked Kyiv from the air for the second time this month. Similar to early July, they used Iranian Shahed drones. The drones were likely launched from the southern direction, possibly from the Krasnodar region of Russia. Our anti-aircraft defense detected and destroyed all air targets moving towards Kyiv. Great job once again to our air defense!" said Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv city military administration.

However, the wreckage of the drones was found in one of the settlements in the Kyiv region. The fall caused damage to windows and outbuildings of a private household, and a small fire broke out in the grass.

There were no casualties. Emergency services and the police are at the scene.

Odesa:

As Humeniuk clarified, there was an attack on a port infrastructure facility in Odesa: "The enemy targeted an important facility for the region. There were no casualties. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fires."

During the night, Suspilne. Odesa reported explosions in the south. They mentioned that explosions were heard in the Odesa district.

Subsequently, the publication reported additional explosions in Odesa. Another report from the Dumska Telegram channel mentioned multiple explosions and the active deployment of air defense in the region.

At 04:10 a.m., an air alert was lifted in the Odesa region.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned about the potential attack in several regions of Ukraine, particularly in the east, south, and central areas.
