Russia attacks 10 Ukrainian regions: 4 civilians killed, 13 wounded

On Sunday, September 24, Russian troops have attacked 10 Ukrainian regions. The attacks have killed 4 civilians and wounded at least 13 others

Information about the shelling of the regions was provided by the regional military administrations.

Chernihiv region: Russia fired 8 times in the last day. Russian troops used mortars, artillery, and MLRS to shell 2 districts within the region. A car was damaged in one of the villages as a result of explosions. There were no destructions of infrastructure or casualties.

Sumy region: at night, Russian troops fired a mortar at a community within the region with no reported consequences. Yesterday, Russian forces launched 15 attacks on border areas and settlements within the region. Six communities were targeted. In one of the communities, the shelling resulted in damage to two private houses.

Dnipropetrovsk region: a fire erupted at an industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih during the night. The fire was caused by the wreckage of a downed UAV. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. Additionally, in the Nikopol district, Russian forces launched two attacks. They used heavy artillery to target Pokrovske and Myrove communities. This resulted in damage to an agricultural company and a power line. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties.

Also yesterday afternoon, Russian troops fired at Nikopol district. The Marhanets community came under artillery fire, dry grass caught fire. There were no casualties. 

Zaporizhzhia region: over the past day, Russian troops launched 140 artillery strikes targeting 23 settlements in the region. They conducted drone attacks on 2 settlements, and fired MLRS at 3 others. Additionally, there were 5 airstrikes recorded in Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka. These attacks resulted in 17 reports of damage to residential buildings, outbuildings, and infrastructure. There were no reported injuries to residents in these communities.

Kharkiv region: over the past day, a village in the Izium district was hit by an air strike. Over 16 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire. In addition, a KAMAZ truck exploded yesterday near the village of Andriivka, Izium district, as a result of hitting an explosive device during field work. The 62-year-old driver was hospitalized with injuries.

Luhansk region: two phosphorus-magnesium munitions were fired at Novolyubivka by the Russian troops, causing the dry grass around the settlement to catch fire. In the neighboring Nevske, 10 explosions were recorded, the village is under constant Russian fire. Yesterday, Russian troops also launched air strikes on Novoyehorivka and Nevske. Nevske and Bilohorivka suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

Donetsk region: Russian troops fired 22 times at 10 settlements in the region. Twelve residential buildings, 3 power lines, an outbuilding, a tractor and a civilian car were damaged. Two people died in the region over the last day.

Mykolaiv region: at night, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed a Kalibr cruise missile over the Mykolaiv region.

This morning Russian artillery shelling was recorded in the town of Ochakiv. There were no casualties.

Odesa region: at night, Russia troops attacked the region with attack drones and two types of missiles. Port infrastructure was hit. A fire broke out in a non-residential high-rise in Odesa and was quickly extinguished. There was also damage to a warehouse and a private house in the Odesa district. One civilian was injured in Odesa as a result of the blast wave. The woman was injured by shrapnel and is currently receiving all the necessary assistance in a local hospital.

Kherson region: last night Russian troops shelled Kherson and damaged the building of an educational institution. In the morning, they attacked Olhivka and Lvove from the air. Over the past day, Russian forces fired 87 times at the region, including 6 times at Kherson city. They hit the districts of 23 settlements in the region, the territory and buildings of medical and educational institutions, a church, a critical infrastructure facility in the Beryslav district; the territory and buildings of factories in Kherson.

Russian forces also attacked Beryslav from the air. Private houses were destroyed. A woman was killed, her identity is being established. 

A policeman born in 1990 was injured. A 48-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman also sustained injuries of varying degrees. All the victims were taken to hospital. Another air strike hit the village of Lvove, killing a 67-year-old man.

Russian forces continued their attacks on the center of Kherson, resulting in casualties among the city's residents. People who were simply going about their daily routines, including men in their 80s and 50s, have been hospitalized with moderate injuries. Additionally, three more individuals, including men aged 54 and 81, as well as a 41-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and will receive outpatient treatment. Russia dropped two bombs on Kherson, with one hitting the industrial zone in the Dniprovskyi district and the other targeting civilian infrastructure in the Korabelnyi district. One person, a 49-year-old female security guard who was on the premises of one of Kherson's enterprises, was injured as a result of the bombing.

  • On the night of September 25, Russian troops launched Shaheda attack UAVs, Kalibr missiles and supersonic Oniks anti-ship missiles at Ukraine. There were explosions in Kryvyi Rih. A civilian was injured in Odesa, port infrastructure was damaged.
