Russia announces "voluntary evacuation" of the occupied Kherson region residents due to Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive
Volodymyr Saldo, the "head" of Kherson occupying authorities appealed to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, with a request to evacuate the residents of the region due to Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive. Russian government immediately start to fulfill the request
Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Marat Khusnullin, stated this on Telegram. He wrote that people will be evacuated to other regions of Russia, everyone will be provided with free housing, and those who decide to stay in a new place will be given permanent housing.
Earlier, Volodymyr Saldo, the so-called gauleiter of the region, appealed to Putin for the "voluntary evacuation" of Kherson region residents.
In the message, Saldo accuses Ukraine of shelling Kherson, Nova Kakhovka, Hola Prystan, and Chornobayivka. Gauleiter declared that this was Ukraine's "revenge" for the referendums that established "historical justice."
Saldo states that Russian plan to organize the forced removal of Kherson families to Russia, as he claims, "for rest and study." This will primarily concern the residents of the right bank, but all the "willing" population of the region will be deported. Residents will be illegally deported to the occupied Crimea, Rostov region, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions.
