Rosomak APC, Rak self-propelled mortars and missiles for Piorun MANPADS: Zelenskyy signs protocol on defense equipment for Ukraine in Poland

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki signed a letter of intent to cooperate on the supply of defense equipment

This was reported by the Office of the Ukrainian President.

"The purpose of signing the letter is to ensure constant support and strengthening of the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the acquisition of Polish defense equipment, in particular, Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Rak self-propelled mortars and missiles for Perun man-portable air defense systems," the statement said.

During a meeting with media representatives following talks with Mateusz Morawiecki in Warsaw, Zelenskyy clarified that the document also includes the supply of MiGs and other weapons that Ukraine needs. He emphasized that it is not only about supporting Kyiv, but also about cooperation, in particular in the procurement format, which will strengthen the defense potential of both Ukraine and Poland.

In addition, Zelenskyy said that during his meeting with the head of the Polish government, they discussed the creation of joint ventures for the production of weapons and ammunition. He noted that "there are very substantive agreements on this issue."

Bloomberg previously reported that such a protocol would be signed, citing the visit plan published by the Prime Minister's Office.

"On Wednesday, Zelenskyy and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will sign a protocol of intent on the supply of defense equipment," the ministry wrote. It was reported that the agreement includes a Polish-made Rosomak armored personnel carrier.
