Roadmap for personal restrictions on Russian officials, oligarchs and businessman
Yermak-McFaul Group presents a roadmap on individual sanctions against Russians, with a list of potential sanctioned names - oligarchs, senior officials, top company management.
The Ukrainian President's Office shared the details.
"The task of individual sanctions is to increase pressure on Putin's regime's leading elites, which will help end Russia's war against Ukraine. The group proposes to impose sanctions on those against whom it can be done most quickly and effectively. the world against which will be the most painful," the message read.
"The total number of people subject to sanctions will be more than 100,000, which is the largest number of individual sanctions in history," said the sanctions roadmap developed by the Yermak-McFaul International Group.
Most importantly, although this number is less than 0.1% of Russia's population, it affects most of the thin layer of Russian society, which represents the Russian elite and the wealthy.
The list includes oligarchs, top government officials, top company executives, including foreigners, Russian propagandists, political party leaders, family members and proxies.
Also, the group proposes to consider imposing individual sanctions on all Russian athletes.
The emphasis should be on the names of those oligarchs who have so far avoided sanctions in most or all jurisdictions.
Among them are Vladimir Potanin, owner of Norilsk Nickel and other large assets, Andrei Bokaryov, co-owner of Transmashholding and other large assets, Iskander Mahmudov, co-owner of Transoil, Transmashholding and others.
It is proposed to apply asset freezing, ban on entry to the countries of the sanctions coalition, termination of powers in Western companies against potential sanctioned persons.
