Regime change and return to de-occupation will be victory of protests in Georgia – Georgian ex-MP Kandelaki
The victory of the protests will be the change of oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili's regime and Georgia's return to the path of integration into the civilized world and de-occupation of the country
Former member of the Georgian parliament Giorgi Kandelaki said this on Espreso TV.
"After last night, Georgia is in a fundamentally different reality. On the one hand, Georgia's drift into the Kremlin's orbit has accelerated dramatically with the preliminary adoption of this draft law on ‘foreign agents’. On the other hand, society has come to understand that Georgia has almost turned into a satellite of the Putin regime. This process has already become public. The task now is to cement the situation. The protest has no single leader. We need to move forward to bring the country to the changes that this country and its friends have needed for a long time," he said.
The politician added that Georgia is a satellite of Putin's regime and it is not in the interests of Georgia itself.
"The victory of the protests will be the change of the regime of oligarch Ivanishvili. Prime Minister Garibashvili is just his assistant. The change of this regime and return of Georgia to the path of integration into the civilized world and de-occupation of the country. The realization of a historic choice. Generations gave their lives for the idea of de-occupation," Kandelaki said.
