Ukraine allocates UAH 2.7 billion to restore settlements in four regions
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the allocation of UAH 2.7 billion for the restoration of settlements in the Chernihiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions
Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, made the announcement on August 9, noting that last year, the government launched a pilot project for the comprehensive restoration of several settlements.
Specifically, this includes Yahidne in the Chernihiv region, Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region, Tsyrkuny in the Kharkiv region, and Trostianets in the Sumy region.
"The government directed the Ministry of Infrastructure to promptly process and immediately allocate UAH 2.7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of these settlements," Shmyhal wrote.
The funds will be used to restore critical infrastructure, repair and construct new residential buildings, kindergartens, outpatient clinics, defence structures, and administrative buildings.
