Turkey to help Ukraine restore energy system
Turkey is ready to assist Ukraine in restoring its energy infrastructure following Russian attacks and will support the expansion of distributed generation capacities

During a meeting with Mustafa Levent Bilgen, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk detailed the severe situation in Ukraine's energy system caused by unprecedented Russian missile attacks.
She stated that amid continuous Russian attacks, restoring energy facilities is a top priority. Ukraine aims to enhance its citizens' energy independence by developing distributed generation.
"In this energy crisis, with Russia persistently attacking and systematically destroying our infrastructure, it is crucial to repair and restore energy facilities where possible and to boost the energy independence of Ukrainians through distributed generation. We welcome Turkish companies' participation in this vital process," she emphasized.
The discussion also covered the prospects of bilateral cooperation in energy sector restoration, particularly the supply of essential equipment and technical and expert assistance from Turkish specialists.
Additionally, Hrynchuk highlighted the importance of implementing the Peace Formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a means to achieve a just peace and ensure security for Ukraine and the world.
