Putin's scenario of Europe's collapse due to Russia's war against Ukraine fails – Polish politician Czech
The Russian scenario of the collapse of Europe due to Russia's war against Ukraine has failed, as 65% of Europeans support Ukrainians
This was reported by Polish politician Mirosław Czech on Espreso TV.
"Putin believed there would be no more European Union. And the first wave of refugees was taken in by ordinary Poles, to their homes. The state was not prepared for that. No one was ready for this, and the Poles themselves, the Polish society, took them in. And here one of Putin's basic scenarios failed. One of his basic scenarios was that Europe would simply disintegrate and say, "Take this Ukraine, Putin, we have problems with those millions, we just want them out of here." This was the scenario, I'm not making anything up, it's clear, and it's stated also in the documents. They spoke about it directly, Lavrov said, "You will see, you will see what will happen to the Ukrainians." So this scenario has failed," he noted.
According to the politician, 75% of Poles now want more support for Ukraine and do not believe that Poland's security will suffer, which is more the opinion of experts. He added that the Americans are present during the transition phase to prevent Russia from sending saboteurs to Poland, Lithuania or Estonia.
"To summarize, societies are very smart. Similarly, there is support in Germany, and let's not forget that after a year, the support for Ukraine is 65% across Europe, which is fantastic. In fact, for me, it's fantastic that two-thirds of Europeans, when you look at the entire European Union, all countries, support further assistance to Ukraine. Nobody expected this, and this assistance is only increasing. And of course, now everyone is waiting for Ukraine's counteroffensive. Waiting for the Ukrainian army to make it hot for those Russians with Leopards, Abrams and Polish MiGs," Mirosław Czech emphasized.
