Putin's idea: to annex half of our regions to Russia during several wars. For this, the aggressor needs the neutrality of Ukraine - Portnikov
Vitaliy Portnykov believes that Putin's idea is to annex half of our regions to Russia during several wars, and it is for this aggressor that Ukraine needs a neutral status
The journalist expressed this opinion on the air of Espreso.TV.
"Ukraine, which is not a member of NATO, after the Russian attack, was left alone with its problems. Of course, we are supplied with weapons and have help with money, but we are fighting ourselves. Until we become a member of NATO, we will fight by ourselves, as long as we have enough strength. And these are several wars, because each war is the migration of the population, depopulation and economic problems. You can win one war and lose the next, because there will be no resources and a combat-ready population. And the aggressor has a larger population", Portnykov said.
The publicist emphasized that all the wars that the Russians have won over the past centuries are wars when they bombarded their enemies with troupes. Putin now has no moral problems to throw the corpses of Russians in Ukraine.
"Putin needs Ukraine's neutrality to exclude the possibility of our joining NATO until he gathers new forces and reserves. Putin also demands from Ukraine the recognition of Crimea and Donbas, which will later become part of the Russian Federation, as Russian. After all, if we recognize Crimea and Donbass, and remains the conditional Kherson People's Republic, which is not recognized by Putin as independent, then during the next military operation you can occupy the Zaporizhzhya People's Republic, at that moment recognize "KhPR" and annex, and require Ukraine to recognize the independence of Kherson. And so in 5-10 years it is possible to annex half of the Ukrainian territory to Russia even quite legally with the consent of the Ukrainian authorities. This is Putin's idea", said Vitaliy Portnykov.
