Putin can no longer give orders over nuclear weapons, cause environmental disasters — Piontkovsky
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is no longer able to issue orders for the use of nuclear weapons due to the loss of a large part of his authority
Political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky stated this on Espreso.
He mentioned that the Western allies listened to the conversations of the Russian leaders and realized that the Russian president had lost some of his authority. Consequently, the nuclear threats ceased. Vladimir Putin is unable to arrest Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of PMC Wagner, and likely has Surovikin hidden away, but he can't publicly acknowledge it.
"The use of nuclear weapons requires immense power in the hands of the top leader. Currently, he can't give orders to anyone, not only regarding nuclear weapons, but also in terms of other potential disasters like the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant explosion, the titanium plant incident, or even discussions about blowing up the Russian Kursk NPP. All these possibilities have been ruled out. This loss of significant power is the most crucial outcome," emphasized the political expert.

On June 30, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhnyi, stated that despite Russian nuclear threats, the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the process of regaining control of the ZNPP will continue.
