Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls Putin's intention for nuclear weapons in Belarus an involvement in military machine

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs called Russian President Vladimir Putin's intention to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus a step towards further drawing the country into the military machine

This was reported on Twitter by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Lukasz Jasina.

"Vladimir Putin's decision to place tactical nuclear weapons and the means of their delivery in Belarus further increases the tension associated with Russian aggression against Ukraine. This is another step towards drawing Belarus into the cogs of the Russian military machine," he wrote.

Jasina emphasized that this also creates risks in the field of nuclear non-proliferation.

"Russia's actions confirm the legitimacy and importance of NATO's deterrence policy, in which Poland participates," he added.
