He made the statement on Twitter.
He also noted that this is another step towards destabilizing the country. The NSDC Secretary emphasized that Belarus is being held nuclear hostage by Russia.
"Putin's statement about placing tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus – a step towards internal destabilization of the country – maximizes the level of negative perception and public rejection of Russia and Putin in Belarusian society. The Kremlin took Belarus as a nuclear hostage," Danilov writes.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that a storage facility for Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus would be completed by July 1.
