Russian military airfield in occupied Crimea attacked: satellite images released

On the night of April 30, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Simferopol and Dzhankoi. Russia claimed ATACMS attack

Satellite images of the aftermath of the strikes were published by Schemes on X.

Russian puppet leader in the occupied Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said that the peninsula was attacked by ATACMS missiles, and the Astra Telegram channel reported that five Russian servicemen were wounded.

The Planet satellite recorded damage to military equipment at the airfield - most likely, it was a Russian S-300/S-400 air defense system consisting of launchers and radars.

The fact that this system was located there is evidenced by an image from April 27. According to satellite photos, one of the S-300/S-400 systems was hit, while the others were redeployed from the area.

This Dzhankoi airfield is one of the largest bases for Russian helicopters and is also used as a military transportation hub for the movement of equipment, ammunition, and personnel.

However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not officially commented on the strikes on the military airfield in Dzhankoi.
