Former US President Barack Obama has publicly supported Biden's decision to run for the 2024 presidential election

He made the statement on Twitter.
"Proud of all that Joe Biden and his administration have accomplished these last few years. He’s delivered for the American people — and he’ll continue to do so once he’s re-elected," Obama said, commenting on Biden's video announcing his decision.
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States. He took office on January 20, 2009, and was elected for a second term in November 2012. He resigned from office on January 20, 2017. He is the first African-American Democratic president of the United States.
