It is too early to say that strategic breakthrough actions by the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking place on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction

Captain Valeriy Prozapas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"Compared to last year's achievements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region, when we drove the Russians out of the right bank, the situation is much more complicated now. Because the Russians were able to gain a foothold on the left bank, their defense depth is quite significant. The enemy has the ability to pull up reserves and, accordingly, it is very difficult to advance across the Dnipro River. Nevertheless, combat work does not stop for a day. Our infantry units, UAV units, and long-range artillery carry out their combat work every day. But it is too early to say that strategic breakthrough actions are taking place," emphasized Prozapas.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces captain, information from the front line does not always benefit the Ukrainian Armed Forces units deployed there.

"The attention of the whole society is understandable. Everyone expects some kind of breakthrough, some kind of great victory, which will not happen in the coming weeks, and most likely months. I would not advise unwinding the spiral of public expectations to hit a wall of disappointment. We need to present the situation objectively," Prozapas emphasized.

  • Ivan Tymochko, a serviceman and chairman of the Reservists' Council of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that due to the fire control over the left bank of the Dnipro River, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to take certain actions.
  • The Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction. Ukrainian marines managed to consolidate several footholds.
