"Trump Jr. is trying to be more Trump than Trump himself," says political analyst

Maksym Nesvitailov, political scientist, international relations expert, and analyst at the Center for Scaling Technology Solutions, commented on the statement by Donald Trump Jr., the son of the U.S. election winner, who called those who allowed Ukraine to use ATACMS deep into Russia "imbeciles"

He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"Judging by how inactive Trump has been, to put it mildly, in involving his son in his campaign, and the fact that he is not promoting him to any serious positions, not creating any institutions for him, this may indicate that he is not relying on him. Trump Jr. is, of course, trying to attract attention and attract part of the audience by mimicking his father's position, often trying to be even more Trump than Trump himself," he said.

The political scientist noted that many people around Donald Trump take such a step in an effort to gain his approval.

"This is typical of many people in Donald Trump's entourage, as they try so hard to please him that they go overboard. It seems to me that this is the case with Trump Jr. I don’t believe he’s acting as Trump’s mouthpiece or representing any position that is being concealed. It's quite possible that he's the type of person who cannot control his verbal diarrhea and ends up posting it on social media. There are many people like that, and he has managed to attract a certain audience simply because of his surname," believes Maksym Nesvitalov.

  • On November 18, the son of the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump Jr. reacted to media reports that the current head of the White House, Joe Biden, had allowed Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike at Russian territory.
