Situation near Bakhmut has been stabilized — Ukrainian military officer
The Commander of the Achilles Strike Drone Platoon in the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, Yuriy Fedorenko, emphasizes the Defense Forces are successfully maintaining momentum and initiative on their side
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces have managed to stabilize the situation in the Bakhmut direction. The tactical successes achieved by the enemy no longer contribute to further advances. The Defense Forces not only succeed in holding the Russian troops but, in certain sectors, have managed to restore conditions and positions. This means pushing the enemy out of the positions that they were able to occupy," emphasized Fedorenko.
According to the commander, the Russians are trying to act in a variety of ways. "With various live forces, some involving armored vehicles, others exclusively on foot, the enemy employs different tactics. On certain fronts, the adversary utilizes rocket artillery and all types of artillery to conduct powerful artillery preparations before transitioning to assault operations. On other sectors of the front, conversely, the Russian forces exclusively cover its assault groups with armored vehicles and firepower, attempting to ambush through swift maneuvers. Regardless of the Russian troops’ actions, the Defense Forces manage to firmly maintain momentum and initiative on their side," noted Fedorenko.
- The Russian army has continued its offensive in recent weeks, but these gains are strategically insignificant. Instead, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are focusing on active defense.
- Over the past day, 88 combat clashes took place at the front. Ukrainian forces repelled attacks in 6 directions and eliminated 1,090 invaders
