Frontline update: 88 combat clashes take place at the front
Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.
In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 Russian attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 7 attacks near Terny and Yampolivka, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 attacks near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine holds back the Russian invading forces, who keep trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 26 attacks near Avdiivka, and another 11 attacks near Pervomayske and Nevelske, Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back Russian forces near Heorhiivka, Pobyeda, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, with 16 attacks repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russians did not conduct any offensive actions.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are expanding the bridgehead. Despite significant losses, Russian troops do not give up trying to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. Over the past day, Russia carried out 15 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Russia conducts 9 missile and 99 air strikes on Ukraine
Over the past day, there were 88 combat clashes. Russians launched 9 missile strikes and 99 air strikes, executing 129 attacks from MLRS systems on our troops' positions and populated areas.
During the night, Russian forces delivered another strike employing 20 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Air defense successfully destroyed 14 enemy drones.
Airstrikes hit the following locations: Leonivka in the Chernihiv region; Popivka in the Sumy region; Ustynivka in the Kharkiv region; Novoyehorivka, Nevske, Serebrianka Forestry in the Luhansk region; Terny, Kolodyazi, Klishchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Oleksandropil, Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Orlivka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Staromayorske, Rivnopil in the Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region; Kachkarivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Tyahynka in the Kherson region.
Artillery fire targeted over 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
Ukrainian forces target 2 ammo depots and a radar station
In the last 24 hours, Defense Forces aircraft targeted 11 areas with concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, along with striking 2 anti-aircraft missile complexes.
Missile force units successfully targeted 1 area with weapons and military equipment, 2 ammo depots, 9 artillery units, and 1 enemy radar station.
In a notable development, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War report that Ukrainian defenders have reclaimed previously lost positions approximately three kilometers northwest of Horlivka in the Donetsk region.
