Negotiations are weaponised in Kremlin's war - Ukrainian diplomat
Diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi says that Moscow hopes to achieve certain tactical successes in the negotiations
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Given the current geopolitical landscape, it's evident that the Moscow-Beijing-Tehran-Minsk axis will move along two simultaneous paths. This strategy involves prolonging the conflict's duration while concurrently establishing new conflict zones. And I have no doubt about it, because the presence of Wagner mercenaries in Belarus stems clearly not only from Lukashenko's desire to train his military. And the second track is the achievement of certain tactical successes on the negotiation platform. And God forbid anyone in Ukraine thinks that the Kremlin is opposing one to another. Negotiations, information attacks, negotiation attacks, attacks on the front line, disinformation attacks - all of this is war. If someone in Washington, Paris, Berlin, London still thinks that negotiations are a tool for Moscow to achieve its goals, they are making a very big mistake. This is a component of war," the diplomat emphasized.
Roman Bezsmertnyi added that the situation is developing in such a way that Beijing is not able to respond quickly to Moscow's behavior.
"In fact, we are dealing with the phenomenon of absolute evil. And if our partners understand this, then it is time to change their attitude to the situation. We need to form an international corps of armed forces and an international headquarters, respectively, an industrial base, and think about how to build a plan to strike at Moscow, which would, first of all, destroy this coalition. And I have no doubt that the Minsk-Moscow-Tehran-Beijing axis is in place and will continue to increase its interaction. And secondly, we need to understand that the leading party in this four is neither Beijing nor Tehran, the leading party is Russia, which sets the tone through manipulation," Bezsmertnyi said.

On August 9, the UAE president announced his desire to organize a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the UN climate conference. The US Department of State, commenting on this initiative, said that Zelenskyy must decide for himself whether to agree to the talks. "But the impediment has always been and continues to be that Vladimir Putin has not renounced his imperialist aims, has not renounced his belief that Ukraine is not a real country, in his words, and has not withdrawn his troops from beyond Ukraine’s borders," said State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.
