National Guards soldier uses Igla to shoot down Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in Zaporizhzhya
During a Russian raid on Zaporizhzhya region, a National Guard fighter has shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft with a missile using an Igla man-portable air defense system

This was announced on the Facebook page of the National Guard of Ukraine.
"Russian forces now have one less Su-25 attack aircraft. During Russian enemy raid in the Zaporizhzhya direction, a National Guard fighter launched a missile from an Igla MANPADS at an Su-25 aircraft. After hitting the target behind the forest strip, an explosion occurred. The fall of Russian enemy aircraft in the occupied territory was confirmed. The target has been destroyed," the message stated
The National Guard clarified that the shot was fired by a conscripted National Guardsman, who is the brother of the well-known Zaporizhia avenger.
