Most Russian cruise missiles launched from Caspian Sea downed by Ukrainian air defense
Russia has launched eight X-101 (X-555) cruise missiles in the direction of the central, southern, and western regions of Ukraine, according to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Seven of the missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
It is known that on August 2, around 5 p.m., the Russian occupiers launched a missile attack from the Caspian Sea area, using Tu-95 (Tu-160) strategic bombers.
Seven of the eight missiles were shot down by the air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Six missiles were eliminated by anti-aircraft missile forces and one by an Air Force fighter jet.
"Unfortunately, there was one hit in the Lviv region - an anti-aircraft missile complex was hit. Damages and casualties are being verified", the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
