Most of industrial enterprises of Zaporizhzhia region have stopped, rest are working minimally - local official

Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, told about this on Espreso TV.

"From the capacities that exist in the country, it is currently impossible to ensure the full functioning of the civil and industrial sector. Most of the enterprises have stopped, especially energy-intensive ones. They are currently not working, because the model of their energy consumption does not ensure the possibility of work. In particular, metallurgical enterprises. At the same time those who can work minimally - these are mechanical engineering and a little bit of metallurgy," he noted.

Starukh added that the main focus is on critical infrastructure to provide people with water, electricity and heating.

"We proceed from the fact that, first of all, we have to provide critical infrastructure. People have heat, water in their homes. Critical infrastructure is working - this is the main and priority task for all local authorities," concluded the head of the Zaporizhzhia Military Administration.
