Moscow is in panic: Ukraine will receive long-range missiles - Piontkovsky
Washington-based political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky believes that Russians need to create an air defense system from scratch
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The first Leopard has already appeared on the territory of Ukraine. The final point will be reached at the historic ninth Ramstein, it has already been named aviation one. During Zelenskyy's visit to London, there were statements about the UK's readiness to provide Ukraine with long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles are launched from aircraft. It is possible that these will be Polish MiG-29 aircraft, which the Poles have been preparing to transfer to Ukraine for several months. Over the past month and a half, they have been working on modernizing the MiGs, equipping them with components and mounts for Storm Shadow missiles. These missiles have a range of up to a thousand kilometers. Moscow is in a panic," Piontkovsky emphasized.
According to the political scientist, Moscow has no modern air defense.
"Several reviews on propaganda channels have already been devoted to Storm Shadow missiles. Moscow does not have modern air defense, judging by how easily the Ukrainian Strizh hit strategic bombers. Moscow did not believe its own lies about being threatened by NATO. And no one seriously considered military scenarios in which Moscow would be threatened by enemy aircraft, and the Ukrainian army did not exist for them. That is, today they need to create an air defense system in Moscow from scratch," Piontkovsky said.
