Russians attacked Odesa with at least 5 types of missiles. One person died and 22 others were injured as a result of the strike

The National Police of Ukraine reports this.

On the night of July 22-23, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Odesa and the surrounding area. According to the latest information at 4:00 a.m., 1 person was killed, and 22 others were injured due to the enemy's shelling of Odesa.

As of 5:00 a.m., Oleh Kiper, the head of Odesa regional military administration, reported that 19 people were injured and one was killed during the attack in the center of Odesa, 4 children among them. “Out of the injured, 14 people, including 3 children, were taken to hospitals in the city.”

At the moment, efforts to clear debris and extinguish fires are ongoing, with all relevant services working on the ground.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, shared a video on Telegram from the site of the missile attack on Odesa. He mentioned that the deceased victim was a 49-year-old man, who was severely affected. Among the victims were four children aged 11, 12, and two 17-year-olds.

The attack damaged civil infrastructure, residential buildings, and a religious institution in the city, as reported earlier by the head of Odesa regional military administration.

OC South reported that the missile attack involved at least five types of missiles, including Kalibr, Oniks, Kh-22, Iskander-K, and Iskander-M ballistic missiles.

The air defense forces managed to destroy a significant portion of the missiles.

“Nevertheless, there were still damages caused to the port infrastructure, six residential buildings, numerous cars, facades, and roofs of various buildings in Odesa. The city's central square experienced a hit on the cathedral of the UOC MP, along with damage to two architectural monuments,” OC South’s message said.

As a result of the missile strikes, several potholes appeared in the city, leading to power outages that may disrupt traffic and necessitate changes in the city transport route.
