Russia's missile attack on July 21: important infrastructure in Odesa region damaged, one person killed in Chernihiv region

The Air Force warned residents of the northern, central, eastern and southern regions of a possible threat. 

Odesa region

As a result of the attack in Odesa region, an important infrastructure facility in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district was damaged. This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration. 

"The extent of the damage is being clarified," the statement said.

This information was confirmed by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"Seven missiles of various classes were fired at an infrastructure facility in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, the facility was hit, we will clarify the extent of the damage. So far, there is no information about the victims," she said.

Humeniuk emphasized that the shelling is "a demonstration that the enemy will not stop, it will continue terrorist attacks."

She also called on all residents of the region to be very careful and to take shelter in case of an air raid alert.

"We are already seeing the third Oniks attack. Thus, the enemy has used up to four P-800 Oniks missiles in Odesa region somewhere south of the regional center since 10 a.m. and as of now," said Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force.

Chernihiv region

Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported on enemy rocket fire in the region. 

"The enemy is attacking the Chernihiv region with rockets. The air raid alert continues. Please stay in shelters and do not ignore the alarm," he wrote.

Later it became known that as a result of a missile strike on the Chernihiv region, a building of a House of Culture was damaged in one of the settlements of the district.

At 13:32, the regional military administration reported that rescue workers found the body of a woman, an employee of the House of Culture. The State Emergency Service is working at the scene.
