“We, the soldiers of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, want to dispel all doubts and opinions of pseudo-experts that the 72nd Brigade has left the town of Vuhledar. Despite heavy assaults and difficult circumstances, we are here. Today is September 26, 2024. Glory to Ukraine!” the video says.
About the situation in Vuhledar
On September 24, DeepState reported that the occupying Russian army is trying to destroy Vuhledar, Donetsk region. The situation around the town is “critical and continues to deteriorate.”
The Institute for the Study of War reported that the capture of Vuhledar is unlikely to give Russian troops any special operational advantage for further offensive operations in the western part of Donetsk region.
On September 25, military expert Serhiy Zgurets said that the Russian army was conducting bypass maneuvers from the west and east in the area of Vuhledar.
On September 25, the head of the Donetsk Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that about 100 Ukrainian civilians remain in Vuhledar and refuse to leave. At the same time, it is impossible to bring humanitarian aid to the town because Russia is shelling all roads.- News
