Ukraine resists one of Russia’s most powerful offensives since war started – top general
Ukrainian defenders are now pushing back one of the biggest offensives by Russian forces since the start of the full-scale war
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said this during a meeting with a delegation of the Czech Republic Armed Forces led by Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Karel Rzegka.
In particular, Syrskyi informed his Czech colleagues about the situation on the front line, which, according to him, continues to be difficult.
“Active hostilities that continue in certain areas require constant renewal of resources of Ukrainian units. Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back one of the most powerful Russian offensives since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,” the Chief of Staff said.
He emphasized that the Czech Republic is a loyal ally of Ukraine and has initiated a number of critical initiatives, among which he noted the coalition to develop the capabilities of artillery, armored vehicles, as well as the aviation and integrated air and missile defense coalition.
“At the end of the conversation, I thanked Lieutenant General Karel Rzegk and, in his person, the government and people of the Czech Republic for their support of Ukraine and expressed hope for the continued practical implementation of existing initiatives,” added Syrskyi.
