145 combat clashes occur at front on Nov. 1 - Ukraine's General Staff

This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff in its report as of 8:00 a.m.

“According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched four missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using six missiles, as well as 73 air strikes, in particular, dropped 116 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 3,674 attacks, 106 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and also used 1,043 'kamikaze' drones,” the statement says.

It is noted that over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit one Russian radar station, one air defense system, three areas of personnel concentration, one UAV control center, one UAV warehouse and another control center.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russia tried to attack once in the area of Vovchansk, but was unsuccessful.

In the Kupyansk direction, five Russia's attacks took place over the day. Defense forces repelled assaults near 4 settlememnts.

The Russian troops attacked 16 times in the Lyman direction. They tried to advance towards 5 localities and in Serebryansky forest, one firefight is still ongoing. 

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupation forces attacked three times in the vicinity of Stupochky. All attacks in the vicinity were stopped.

In the Toretsk direction, Russia made three attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, suffered losses and retreated.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 39 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor towards 8 settlements.  The highest concentration of hostile attacks was near Selydove and Promin. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16 attacks there. 

The situation remains the most tense in the Kurakhove direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 52 attacks on positions near 10 populated areas. The invaders tried to advance most actively in the areas of Antonivka, Novoselydivka and Illinka. 

In the Vremivka direction, Russia made four assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Trudove and Maksymivka. 

The situation in the Prydniprovskyi direction remained unchanged. The Russian enemy conducted four unsuccessful assaults.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia is actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

The operation in the Kursk region continues.

“Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy's offensive potential in the rear,” the General Staff emphasized.

• Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,270 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 8 Russian tanks and 37 artillery systems.
