Ukraine’s General Staff denies claims of strikes on energy facilities in Russia, Crimea
Between March 25 and 27, Ukrainian Defense Forces did not launch any strikes on energy facilities in Russia’s Kursk and Bryansk regions or in Russian-occupied Crimea
The press service of the Ukrainian General Staff reported this on March 27.
The Russian Defense Ministry had released another statement alleging that Ukraine violated the ceasefire agreement by attacking energy facilities in the aggressor country. The General Staff noted that this information is false, just like a similar statement made the day before.
“From March 25 to 27, the Ukrainian Defense Forces did not carry out UAV strikes on Russian energy facilities in the Kursk and Bryansk regions, nor on energy infrastructure in the temporarily Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory of Crimea,” the press service emphasized.
“The military agency of the aggressor country continues to fabricate fake news in order to make baseless accusations against Ukraine and prolong the war,” the statement says.
- On Tuesday, March 25, another round of negotiations took place in Riyadh between the Ukrainian and American delegations. Kyiv, Washington, and Moscow agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea.
- On March 26, the Ministry of Energy announced that Ukraine had agreed with the United States on the terms of an “energy truce.” This includes the electricity sector, oil and gas industries, nuclear and coal sectors, and energy engineering — particularly the production of energy equipment. On the same day, the invading forces claimed that Ukraine had violated the terms of a partial 30-day truce, but the General Staff refuted this claim.
