
U.S., Ukrainian delegations conclude second round of talks in Riyadh

What preceded it
On March 20, Yuri Ushakov, aide to the Russian dictator, stated that negotiations between Russian and U.S. delegations would take place in Riyadh on Monday, March 24.
Special envoy Keith Kellogg said the United States planned to hold separate meetings with Ukrainian and Russian representatives in Saudi Arabia in an effort to organize indirect negotiations.
On March 21, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said the Ukrainian delegation would meet with the American delegation in Saudi Arabia, rejecting the possibility of talks with the Russians.
On March 23, a meeting between Ukrainian and American delegations took place in Saudi Arabia. In particular, the parties discussed the security of energy and infrastructure facilities.
The following day, a meeting between the U.S. and Russian delegations took place there. The goal of the negotiations was to achieve a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea. Additionally, the meeting addressed possible lines of demarcation in Ukraine.
