Yuri Ushakov, aide to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, announced that U.S. and Russian delegations will meet for negotiations in Riyadh on Monday, March 24

This is reported by RIA Novosti.

“We hope that the consultations scheduled for Monday will be productive,” Ushakov said.

According to him, the Russian delegation will be led by Senator Grigory Karasin and FSB Director’s Advisor Sergey Beseda. Ushakov added that the American team has also been formed.

Notably, during the first round of U.S.-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia on February 18, Russia was represented by Yuri Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev.

Earlier, Trump’s special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, stated that U.S. and Russian representatives would hold negotiations in Saudi Arabia on March 23 to discuss details regarding the cessation of strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure in the Russia-Ukraine war.
