He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The situation is very tense. First of all, the enemy is trying to cut the road to Avdiivka. Unfortunately, we have only one road, we have no other logistics. That's why the Russians are focusing all their efforts on this. The Russians are putting pressure everywhere, dozens of attacks are taking place in the city," emphasized Barabash.
According to the head of the Avdiivka city military administration, the Russian troops have been actively attacking the road lately.
"The military has its own tasks, which they entrust to logistics. We have our own tasks - evacuation, humanitarian aid, delivery of food, medicine, fuel for generators," added Barabash.
- Neither Russian nor Ukrainian troops have made any significant progress at the front over the past week, but the main Russian goal remains the encirclement of Avdiivka.
- Ukrainian troops repelled 122 Russian attacks in 8 directions. At the same time, 127 combat clashes took place in the frontline over the last day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 920 militants.
