Positions in Avdiivka sector will be changing hands for some time — Ukrainian military
Ivan Tymochko, a serviceman and chairman of the Reservists Council of Ukraine's Land Forces, said that the Avdiivka direction should be kept on a par with the Bakhmut direction
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"After the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew from Avdiivka, the enemy tried to seize the initiative. The Russians expected that we would retreat chaotically when we left the city, that there would be problems, that communication between the units on the ground would be lost. The occupiers tried to break through the defense line towards Vuhledar. Very serious fighting is currently taking place. Positions in this area will continue to change hands until they are fully stabilized," said Tymochko.
According to the serviceman, the Avdiivka direction should be kept on a par with the Bakhmut direction.
"At some tactical level, we will have our successes, but the Russian army will also have some temporary successes until they can no longer move inertially. For our part, when the work in this area is stabilized, when the tasks are defined, it will be clear how many more reserves, additional forces and means are needed to level the situation because the Avdiivka direction should be kept on a par with the Bakhmut direction," emphasized Tymochko.
