Kherson faces no immediate threat of Russian land assaults — Tavria troop grouping
Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the Tavria troop grouping, said that there is currently no reason to believe that Kherson is under threat of land assaults by Russian troops
He shared the information on the United News telethon.
“There are no grounds to say that Kherson is threatened by any land assaults,” the spokesman said.
At the same time, Lykhoviy noted that, unfortunately, Kherson experiences several attacks from Russian artillery every day.
According to him, one reason to rule out the possibility of an offensive on Kherson is that Ukrainian troops are still maintaining footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River and are managing to push Russian forces back from the river. This reduces the threat of the occupying Russian forces crossing the Dnipro.
