Andriy Polukhin, a spokesman for the 24th Brigade named after King Danylo, spoke about the situation in Chasiv Yar

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

“The Russians are trying to storm the positions of our guys across the canal, they use practically every day small infantry groups. Sometimes, occasionally, they use mechanized attacks, that is, with the use of equipment. At the moment, no enemy advances have been recorded. Our guys are holding the Siverskyi Donets Canal frontline, which is a good defense structure that provides such an opportunity. In Chasiv Yar, the logistics itself is very complicated due to the work of both reconnaissance and attack drones. The supplies they need, such as water and food, are being dropped on our guys every day via drones. Our guys try not to show up on the streets, especially during the day. They move around with camouflage, so they don't want to be seen, they try to disguise themselves and move around unnoticed,” he said.

The spokesman noted that it is difficult for the Russian units to storm the town.

“Kalynivka and Klishchiivka are similar in that there are crossings that can be used to transport equipment if captured. The enemy has been trying to break through there for a long time and has not succeeded yet, so this is the information we have. It is much more difficult for them to storm the town of Chasiv Yar from the front than to approach it from the flanks,” said the military.

Andriy Polukhin suggested where Russian forces will try to break through to Chasiv Yar.

“We are right in the city itself, we have our own small or large area, depending on what to compare it to, our own section that we hold. There is also a crossing in this area, but it is much more difficult for the enemy to storm it, again, because of some other conditions that they have created for themselves.Including the destruction of the Novyi neighborhood, which was located there. There is practically no shelter there where they could safely place their equipment or safely conduct a mechanized attack. Therefore, it is likely that they will try to break through either in the south or in the north of Chasiv Yar, of course, this does not preclude attempts to storm the entire Chasiv Yar,” he added.

  • On September 2, Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevich, noted that the defense of Chasiv Yar is quite important in terms of operational and tactical planning on the Eastern Front.
