Fire erupts at one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl

Yaroslavl Governor Mikhail Yevrayev stated that the fire at the refinery was not related to a drone attack.
“No UAV attacks have been recorded today. The fire is of a technological nature,” he said.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire at the plant was reported at 06:28 a.m. on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses have shared videos showing a large column of smoke above the facility. There are no reports of casualties.
The Novo-Yaroslavl Oil Refinery is one of the largest petroleum product producers in Russia. It manufactures motor gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, jet fuel, liquefied gases, and fuel oil.
