Drones strike Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region

On the night of September 26, the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region came under a drone attack, causing a fire at the facility

The regional operational headquarters confirmed the incident on Telegram.

“Drone debris fell on one of the units. There were no casualties. A fire broke out over an area of 30 square meters, which has already been extinguished,” the statement says.

The operational headquarters added that emergency and special services are working at the site.

Russian Telegram channels circulated a photo showing smoke from the fire.

For reference. The Afipsky oil refinery is a major facility belonging to the Safmar Group. Its designed processing capacity is 6.25 million tons of oil per year. The plant has already come under drone attacks more than once.

  • On the night of September 20, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck Russia's Saratov and Novokuibyshevsk refineries.
