Energiya plant ablaze in Russian city of Yelets following drone attack

The Russian Telegram channel Astra reported the information.

According to their information, this is not the first attack on the facility.

On July 15, 2025, at least four drones struck the factory grounds. Astra had previously reported that before this, at least 12 drones had hit the facility in Yelets, Lipetsk region. Another attack occurred on the night of May 23 — at that time, one of the workshops caught fire and nine workers were injured.

The JSC Energiya plant also specializes in the production of chemical power sources. Its products are widely used in the defense industry, civil aviation, maritime transport, and the energy sector.

• On the night of Friday, January 2, drones attacked several regions of Russia. In the Samara region, two oil refineries were likely hit.
