Drones strike two oil refineries in Russia's Samara region

A number of Russian Telegram channels reported the information.
In particular, the channels Shot and Ateo Breaking, citing eyewitnesses, stated that around 01:30 local time, more than ten powerful explosions were heard. Witnesses also reported bright flashes in the sky.
At the same time, the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ also reported that two refineries could have been under attack: Novokuybyshevsk and Kuybyshevsk.
There is no official confirmation of this information.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that during the night, 64 Ukrainian drones were allegedly intercepted or destroyed, of which 20 were over the territory of the Samara region.
- On the night of January 1, an oil depot in the Kaluga region and the Ilsky refinery in the Krasnodar region were hit by drone strikes.
