195 combat clashes on frontline in last day, over third in Pokrovsk direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported the information.

Over the last day, 195 combat clashes were registered. Almost a third of them took place in the Pokrovsk direction.

Russian air strikes targeted 25 settlements across Ukraine.

Frontline update

Two Russian-initiated firefights occurred in the Kharkiv direction, specifically around the areas of Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, there were 23 combat clashes over the past day. Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled attacks near Stelmakhivka, Kruhliakivka, Synkivka, and Kolisnykivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 14 Russian attacks near Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Novosadove, Makiivka, Nevske and Novoiehorivka.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled five attacks near Bilohorivka, Spirne and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops thwarted 11 Russian troops' attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.

Russian forces attempted to advance in the Toretsk direction 21 times. Their actions targeted the areas of Pivnichne, Druzhba, Toretsk, New York, and most intensively near Nelipivka, where they launched seven attacks on Toretsk using 13 guided aerial bombs.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 66 attacks, with more than half occurring near Hrodivka and Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian troops near Ukrainka, Karlivka, Heorhiivka, Halytsynivka and Kostiantynivka. Russian forces tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 30 times.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian military made six attempts to seize Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynivka, Vodiane and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. They also attacked from the direction of Mykilske.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders beat back two Russian attacks near Robotyne and Novodanylivka.

The occupying Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions in the Kherson and Huliaipole directions yesterday.

No signs of Russian offensive groups forming along the Belarusian border were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv region, Russia maintains a military presence and conducts reconnaissance activities. 

Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively deplete the Russian forces' combat potential, including during the operation in the Kursk region.
