Military expert Dykyi explains what could change course of events in Avdiivka sector
Ukraine’s military expert Yevhen Dykyi said that in order to radically turn the tide near Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to move significant reserves there
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Our military has not yet received the command to retreat from Avdiivka. There is no need to judge whether this happens now. Because there are things we have no right to know. In particular, what reserves our General Staff has," explained Dykyi.
The expert noted that in order to reverse the situation near Avdiivka, large reserves need to be deployed to this area
"There are two different solutions in the Avdiivka direction. Either to withdraw and move to the second line of defense. Or we can send reinforcements to this area. It is obvious to me that our garrison in Avdiivka will successfully defend itself for some time. However, it will not last forever. That is, if we want to radically turn the tide in the Avdiivka direction, we need to send significant reserves there. No one needs to know whether we have these reserves. This information is only for the Ukrainian General Staff," he added.
- On December 5, Ukraine's General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 15 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka direction, with a total of 61 combat clashes during the day.
- According to US analysts, Ukrainian troops recently attacked Russian positions in the forest south of Stepove.
