Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko says that invading Russian forces killed 101 children in Mariupol

He said this on Espreso TV.

"Thanks to the Mariupol resistance, we managed to obtain lists of children killed by the Russians. These lists were compiled by the Russian occupation authorities on the dead children of Mariupol who passed through three centers where they collected children and recorded their deaths. There are terrible things written there about the causes of death of our children - death from fragments, from brain and chest wounds," Boichenko said.

According to the mayor of Mariupol, the world must recognize the terrible tragedy that is taking place in Ukraine. Russian murderers must be punished for the crimes they committed in Mariupol.

"We have managed to verify the lists and can confirm that there are 101 children from Mariupol on the list. These are children under one year old and a little older. These are babies, who died during the terrible war. Children who died during 86 days of heavy fire inflicted by Russian aggression on Ukrainian Mariupol. It is very difficult to read the conclusions of the doctor who recorded the conclusions about the death of our children in the morgue," emphasized Boichenko.

  • On July 13, Ukraine took back from Russian occupation two children who were separated from their parents on the first day of the full-scale invasion. The grandmother refused to give the children to their mother, who had returned from captivity.

  • On July 19, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke at the UN and read excerpts from the diaries of Ukrainian children who were under occupation. He addressed the audience and emphasized that he wanted them to hear the voices of children who had gone through occupation and suffering.

  • On Thursday, July 27, Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said that Ukraine had managed to take a young man who had been there since February last year out of the temporarily occupied Mariupol.
