Marder IFVs, reconnaissance drones and shells: Germany announces new aid package for Ukraine
On Wednesday, September 13, Germany announced more military aid to Ukraine. The new package includes reconnaissance drones and Marder infantry fighting vehicles
The German government's website reported the information.
It noted that the new aid package from Germany for Ukraine includes:

20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles with ammunition;

3000 rounds of 155 mm caliber ammunition;

2 tanks for demining Wisent 1;

material for the explosive ordnance disposal;

Satcom satellite communications surveillance system;

20 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones;
-
2 mobile antenna mast systems;
-
10 drone detection systems;
-
heavy duty trailer truck 8x8 HX81 and 4 semi-trailers;
-
9 vehicles (trucks, minibuses, all-terrain vehicles);

5 8x8 trucks;
-
3 ambulances;
-
1.5 million rounds of ammunition for firearms.
The government has highlighted that these supplies are being sourced from industry stocks funded by German investments intended for enhancing security capacity.

On September 11, Rheinmetall announced that the German Federal Government had instructed it to supply 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. This order will bring the total number of Marder vehicles that Rheinmetall will supply to Ukraine to 80.
