Majority of Russian-installed officials leave occupied Skadovsk – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

According to the Ukrainian military, the likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

The Russian army is attacking in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, launching about 30 assaults. Heavy fighting is taking place for Bakhmut and Marinka.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line: 7 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 3 more in the Sumy region, as well as 11 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

In the Kupiansk direction, 11 settlements in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions came under artillery and mortar fire. 

In the Lyman direction, 8 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under enemy shelling. 

In the Bakhmut direction, fighting continues for the fortress city. 16 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, 8 settlements of the Donetsk region came under Russian shelling. 

In the Marinka direction, occupying Russian troops attacked 3 settlements of the Donetsk region. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, 4 localities in the Donetsk region came under fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 20 cities and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the invading Russian forces. 

The General Staff stated that the activities of the district and city administrations in Skadovsk, Kherson region, were curtailed. Thus, on the night of May 6-7, the occupying forces loaded documentation, office equipment and other property of state institutions into vehicles, and on the morning of May 7, a significant part of the Russian occupation administration left the city with their families. At present, a similar situation is observed in such settlements of the region as Mykhailivka, Petrivka, Shevchenko, Shyroke, Ulianivka and Krasne.

“Taking into account the many kilometers of traffic jams that have recently formed at the entrance to Crimea and in the area of the Kerch Bridge, the invaders plan to export documentation and looted property from the state institutions of the temporarily occupied Kherson region by sea, using a dry cargo ship, through the port of Berdiansk,” the report says. 

In addition, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 11 strikes on the occupying Russian troops' military positions. During this day, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Zala reconnaissance UAV. Missile and artillery units struck 3 manpower concentration areas, 2 munitions depots, as well as 3 other important enemy targets.
