Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets believes that the main military clash around Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region will take place in the next 1-2 weeks
A military expert shared his opinion with Espreso.
"In the next 1-2 weeks we will see the main collision around Severodonetsk. Russia uses tactics when the assault units go forward, our defense counters them and then Russian artillery tries to fire our positions of resistance. Such a detection and artillery pressure are used in Severodonetsk, the city's infrastructure is almost completely destroyed," Zgurets said.
The risks of Russian advancing deep into Ukraine from the East stays, but it is not significant.
"We understand that the capture of Severodonetsk is symbolic for the Russianforces. It will continue and meet our resistance. There are also risks of further movement from Popasna towards the Lysychansk-Bakhmut route and from Izyum towards Slovyansk. But advancing in the direction of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk is minimal, if there is one at all," Serhiy Zgurets said.
