Lukashenko's regime will collapse in Belarus if he dies
Former SBU official Ivan Stupak believes that if self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko dies, the KGB of Belarus will not be able to maintain his regime and mass protests will begin
He said this on Espreso TV.
In this way, Stupak commented on Lukashenko's 5-day absence from public, as well as the fact that the President of Belarus did not appear at the flag day celebration. According to him, many people now believe that Lukashenko is ill.
“The KGB is their local Belarusian force. However, what is interesting is that, for example, in Romania, when Ceausescu's regime began to burst at the seams, in just six days his regime collapsed, the president was shot. Securitate, their secret service, which was larger in scope, scale, and cruelty than the Belarusian KGB, could not resist mass unrest. That is, if there are protests among ordinary Belarusians, if they are joined by people from Kastuś Kalinoŭski's regiment, who are now fighting for Ukraine, I am sure that the situation in Belarus will change quickly,” Stupak said.
