Leopard 1 tanks from Germany, Denmark to arrive in Ukraine in coming weeks – Pistorius
In the coming weeks, dozens of Leopard 1 A5 main battle tanks will be delivered to Ukraine by Germany and Denmark
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said this in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.
"For Germany, the decisions taken immediately after February 24 were a real breakthrough... Germany's first arms supplies to a warring state! Today, Germany provides Ukraine with the second largest military assistance in terms of equipment supply, in terms of direct financial assistance or that provided within the EU, and is one of the countries that largely trains the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the minister said.
"We have adopted the National Security Strategy for the first time in history. The majority of society supports this breakthrough. In the coming weeks, dozens of Leopard 1 A5 battle tanks will be delivered to Ukraine, provided by Germany and Denmark," he added.

Earlier, Pistorius said that Germany is not able to replace every tank lost in Ukraine, but will continue to supply more repaired Leopards. This statement was made amid Russian reports of allegedly destroyed Leopards in Ukraine.
